Makarska is situated 70 km southeast of Split or/and 162km nordwest from Dubrovnik.
For all visitors coming by car from continental Croatia, the best way to get to Makarska is to choose A1 motorway.
Best is to get off from the motorway at the exit sign toward Makarska where you’ll be guided via Sveti Ilija tunel. Exit from Sveti Ilija tunel brings you right to the coast and roundabout where you connect to regional road (Jadrasnka magistrala) and follow the signs to Makarska.
Our house is located on the address Slikara Gojaka 27. The street that can be accessed both from regional road (Jadranska magistrala) from both Dubrovnik or Split direction, or you can come from the opposite way from the city center. Everything as shown on the google map below.
All tourists coming by airplane are advised to choose Split, Dubrovnik or Zadar as landing airports.
Regular regional bus service connects Makarska to Split, Dubrovnik, and other cities in the broader region, but please note that upon your demand we can arrange you transfer from the airport at very competitive prices.
Makarska is well connected with the surrounding island by ferry, boats or speedboats. Taxi Transport services are available and you can use them by calling 970.
